With Clinical Psychologist & Psychotherapist, Tanya Uren
The class will begin with a 30-minute guided meditation followed by a talk on various aspects of what doing ‘inner-work’ means.
Clinical psychologist and Somatic Psychotherapist Tanya, will then offer experiential exercises (done individually or in pairs) to promote self-enquiry.
Tanya is offering this in her capacity as a ‘spiritual elder’ & in her desire to teach simple meditation techniques to enhance our ability for self-reflection, self-knowledge & inner work. These practices can improve mental health & create greater peace & joy in life.
As a local practitioner, Tanya regularly sees a need for people to develop insightfulness & emotional awareness inherent in inner-work (mindfulness practices).
By learning these practices, we can discover how to sit with difficult emotions and find greater ease, joy & gratitude in our lives, through the art of living mindfully.
The evening will be experiential and non-judgemental. Everything will be offered in what Tanya refers to as an ‘atmosphere of permission’. She is confident that many people will find these offerings enormously beneficial & rewarding.
Tanya is a Meditation teacher, a Clinical Psychologist & a Somatic Psychotherapist. She has a Diploma in Mindfulness & Compassion Teaching by the Insight Meditation Institute, 2021-2022.
