About Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is a highly powerful ancient sleep-based meditation technique originated from the ancient yogic scriptures.  Yoga Nidra uses the biological process of sleep to enter an evolutionary state of consciousness where one can awaken to their true nature. Every night when we sleep, we must do one thing; let go of our thoughts.  Consciously entering this twilight zone between waking and sleeping enables us to rest more and more as the  space of being beyond the mind, and less and less as the mind itself.  Yoga Nidra is one of the most profound and direct channels for accelerated awakening, physical and emotional healing and the management of insomnia, stress, burnout, anxiety, depression and a host of physical diseases that result.  Yoga Nidra transforms through the principle of density. About the training

This transformational yoga nidra training is designed to give you a profound understanding of yoga nidra as an ancient technology designed to solve the pitfalls of the human experience. Laid out in a precise step-by-step manner, these profound yogic teachings are designed to lead you through a personal and practical process of insight and understanding that will help you see your own life in a different light.  Twice daily experiences of yoga nidra will allow these insights to take root and changes to happen from the subtlest levels of consciousness. We will do a total of thirteen or more yoga nidra sessions in four days. Science shows that after eleven sessions of yoga nidra, measurable changes begin to happen in the brain.

With the tools of yoga nidra we will show you how to resolve and reshape stress patterns in the mind, health, and emotions– not from will, but at the very place these patterns come into form from unseen realms of consciousness. John Vosler is a Senior Teacher of the Yoga Nidra professional training at the Amrit Yoga institute USA. A graduate of the highly acclaimed Institute of Psycho Structural Balancing, his lifelong education in the field of holistic healthcare includes a BA in human development, the study of Applied Kinesiology at the Kinesiology Institute, and programs in CranioSacral and SomatoEmotional Release Therapy at John Upledger's Upledger Institute International. This course of study deepens and enhances your understanding by drawing on the scientific basis and modern applications of yoga nidra. We will look into research verifying its benefits and the changes happening in the brain while in yoga nidra. Combining science and the ancient wisdom of yoga, you will understand how to apply yoga nidra to conditions such as:

• Stress
• Habits and Addictions
• Trauma and PTSD
• Depression, Anxiety and Insomnia

Program Schedule:

7am - 5pm each day

Includes 30 minute morning and afternoon breaks with 1 hour for lunch

Yoga Nidra Advanced Training

November 22-26, 2017

*Prerequisites: Yoga Nidra Immersion & Certification

This course of advanced study will give you the skills to guide others in yoga nidra, but is also ideally suited for your own transformation. You will receive your own unique yoga nidra card deck system which will allow you to easily create your own yoga nidra experiences.
This training is an excellent addition for psychologists, mindfulness practitioners, bodyworkers, yoga teachers, health, helping professionals, hypnotherapists and energy healers looking for new tools to serve their clients.

This Advanced Yoga Nidra Training builds on and deepens the understanding gained in Yoga Nidra Professional Training. Using scriptural teachings of the Upanishads, the Yoga Sutras, and unique insights from our Lineage, we will explore the original teachings of Yoga Nidra as an esoteric and ancient mystical practice. You will understand more about the anatomy of the koshas and how they relate to the wisdom body, the ego and the Self.

New techniques for yourself and your students will include new body rotation sequences, awareness of space inside and outside the body, listening with the body, techniques to gain control over the involuntary nervous system, kosha experiences and prana/mother divine yoga nidra. You will also learn basics of yoga nidra as a form of yoga therapy; using protocols to aid those seeking emotional integration and solutions for trauma, PTSD and other forms of energetic blockages.

We will have a more in-depth look at visualizations and image techniques — understanding how they relate to the mental and wisdom body, when to use them, and how to deliver them so they do not bring in the thinking mind. Finally, you will receive not only the advanced deck of yoga nidra cards, but a unique yoga nidra deck for kids! You will learn how to be creative in delivering yoga nidra to kids and how to give to various age groups.

Some specific topics we will be exploring are:
• Yoga nidra as a therapeutic yoga technique for emotional integration and guidance
• The latest scientific research
• How to best bring yoga nidra to kids
• Two practices of yoga nidra per day

No experience necessary — just bring an open mind and a willingness to learn.

What to bring:

  • Wear comfortable clothing.
  • Bring a yoga mat and whatever you need to sit and lie on the floor or in a chair comfortably. Some blankets, pillows, chairs will be available, but enough for everyone is not guaranteed.
  • We will do yoga nidra at least twice a day. Bring whatever you may need to lie down comfortably (sitting against the wall or in a chair is also an option).
  • Bring snacks
  • Bring water in a container with a sealable lid
  • Bring a notebook and pen.
