What is Swedish Massage?

This is achieved by massaging the muscles in long gliding movement in the direction of the blood flow. The benefits of Swedish massage is relaxation, increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.

Deep tissue massage therapy is similar to Swedish massage, but the deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints).

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is the application of appropriate pressure to specific areas on the feet and hands, this is commonly incorporated with Swedish massage or deep tissue massage. Specific reflex points in the hands and feet correspond to different organs in the body aiding in an improvement of health. Benefits of incorporating reflexology in your treatment is release of tension headaches, digestive disorders, temporary relief of arthritis pain, sleep disorders, hormonal imbalance, menstrual disorders, aches and pains, stimulate nerve function, increases energy, boosts circulation, induces a deep state of relaxation, eliminates toxins, stimulates the central nervous system, helps clear up urinary tract conditions, reduces depression, and relieves pain.

Aromatherapy uses fragrant oils extracted from herbs, flowers and fruits to naturally enhance the benefits of massage. Aromatherapy massage aids in the relief of aches and pains, anxiety relief, reduction of inflammation, aids in sleep, calms the mind, helps support the respiratory system, and increases circulation.
