Restoring Balance is a 5 week yoga course specifically designed for people with experiences of depression, anxiety and/or trauma who would like to explore yoga away from a general class environment. The course introduces a yoga framework for restoring health and wellbeing and each class begins with a presentation on this framework. The class then progresses into physical yoga postures for connecting you to your body in a accepting and nonjudgmental way. You will also learn some basic yoga breathing techniques that are designed to either activate or soothe the autonomic nervous system. Each class ends with yoga nidra, a sleep-based meditation practice that is deeply restorative and healing of the body, mind, heart and soul.
As part of the package you will receive three special yoga nidra recordings for you to take home and practice in the comfort of your own space.
This course runs for 5 consecutive weeks, each Sunday 1pm – 2.30pm.
