Held: A Half-Day Retreat

March 24 @ 9:30 am - 1:00 pm


On 24th March, allow Alice and Jo to hold you in 3.5 hours of mindful movement, meditation and nourishing practices that can foster a sense of stillness, spaciousness and silence. The day will begin with more ‘yang’ practices of movement and breath, and conclude with ‘yin’ practices of meditation, yoga nidra and sound. The session is open to and welcoming of all.

Why silence?

Our lives have a tendency to be full and noisy, with limited space for self-reflection and contemplation. From traffic to workplaces, and social activities to social media, pace and sound make up much of what we experience.

Building a practice around silence is an art form rooted deeply in self-compassion. It is a lifelong journey towards being OK with ourselves, as we are. Ultimately, working with silence allows us to invite ourselves beyond distraction and discomfort, arriving in a space where personal wisdom can rise up to the surface.
